Published to commemorate our fifth anniversary, Even Dwarves Started Small is a portfolio of 15 Gocco screen prints.
Print Gocco is a self contained screen printing set-up produced in Japan. Consisting of an exposure unit, pre-coated screens and inks, it was originally marketed for making greeting cards and sold in toy stores. Ouside of Japan, appreciation for the Gocco system has grown amongst artists who cannot afford, or don’t have the space for a traditional screen-printing equipment. We felt that the accessibility of Print Gocco reflected our own DIY ethos in running a gallery.
For this portfolio, and the accompanying exhibiton, we invited some of the artists we have exhibited over the previous five years. These artists are from a range of disciplines; textile design, fine art, illustration, graphic design, and animation: Arctic Circles, Jill Bliss, Simon Dovar, Andrew Groves, Yellena James, Xtina Lamb, Magic Jelly, Mark Pawson, Nigel Peake, Peskimo, Aaron Sewards, Lucie Sheridan, Jazmin Velasco, Julie West and Joff Winterhart.
Produced in a limited edition of 50, each print measures 15 x 21cm (6 x 8.25 inch), it is signed by all the artists and packaged in a custom presentation box. Available in our online shop, along with a small quantity of the prints for sale individually.

Visitors voted for their favourite creations in a series of heats at Here Gallery, resulting in a grand final at London's Playlounge. An interactive catalogue, in the form of battle playing cards, was produced in association with Playlounge and Clutter magazine. Edition of 1,000 Sold out.
